What Is TOEFL?

TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) is the most common exam type administered by the Educational Testing Service. However other TOEFL exam types might not be very common. Below is the important information about them.

1. TOEFL iBT (Internet based Test) :

     This is the most common and widely accepted version of the TOEFL exam.

  • The exam assesses three language skills: Listening, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading.
  • TOEFL ITP scores are not typically accepted for admission to universities or colleges, as it is intended for internal assessment purposes.
  • The test is administered on paper and scored locally by the institution.

3. TOEFL Junior :

• • TOEFL Junior is tailored specifically for younger students (ages 11 to 15) to assess their English language proficiency.
  • The exam is available in two levels: TOEFL Junior Standard (for intermediate learners) and TOEFL Junior Comprehensive (for advanced learners).
